Like many before her, Megan Fox takes on the role of the nosy reporter April O'Neil in the latest version of the iconic comic book series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, set to hit theaters on August 8. The UK will have to wait until October 17 for the experience.

The film also stars William Fichtner as the evil, metal-protected Shredder.

Based on the original 1984 comic, created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, this new 2014 edition gives a much-needed contemporary facelift. In the clip, O'Neil finds herself caught in a trap of action, as she soon learns that heroes are not born: they are created. Quick glimpses of a laboratory are seen, hinting at what is to come (and what we all already know). Also, the storyline is tweaked a bit: O'Neil's father has a direct connection to the turtles' evolution.

The turtles are: Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Jeremy Howard as Donatello and Pete Ploszek as Leonardo. Danny Woodburn will play Splinter.

Supporting cast includes Will Arnett as O'Neil's cameraman Vernon Fenwick and Whoopi Goldberg as Bernadette Thompson.

With Michael Bay as producer and Jonathan Liebesman as director, this will surely be this summer's blockbuster action flick. It's turtle power now!
