Dance-floor pop singer Jennifer Lopez has no inhibitions, at least when it comes to germs. During her visit to The Ellen Degeneres Show on Friday (March 21), the diva got a little too close for comfort.

"I have bronchitis right now," Lopez confessed to host Ellen Degeneres. "[I'm] sorry. I'm on the back end of it."

"You have it right now?" Degeneres asked. "I'm so glad I hugged you."

J-lo giggled, "That's why my voice is a little eh."

On this week's American Idol Top 10 results night, Lopez took to the stage for her brand new single "I Luh Ya Papi," a fresh, hip-hop track from her forthcoming album. During the performance, former contestants Pia Toscano (Season 10), Allison Iraheta (Season 8) and Jessica Sanchez (Season 11), took to the stage, too, laying down some serious harmonies.

Lopez discussed the single, "It's a little slangy. The producer I worked with, his name is Detox, is great. He works with a lot of hip-hop artists like Wayne and all these guys and Drake. When we were doing the record, every word was so micro-managed by him. It was a very specific thing that he wanted.

Later in the interview, Lopez dished on this year's crop of singing contestants. "I feel they're all super talented kids," she said. "I also feel like they were thrown to the sharks really too early."

She added, "We went from Hollywood week right to the main stage. Before, we used to have those middle rounds in Vegas, and it gave them time to adjust. I feel like they're not really coming into their own yet."

"They do need to step it up, but I feel like now in the next couple weeks is when [they'll] get into their comfort zone."
