He later tweeted his excitement:

The song will also debut on New York City's Z100 radio station at 4 p.m. EST.

Sheeran then shared his sophomore album's title, saying, "My 2nd album is called 'x' or 'multiply' and will released on the 23rd of June worldwide. Can't wait for you guys to hear it..." On the new project, he, reportedly worked with industry tastemakers Rick Rubin and Pharrell Williams.

This album is the follow-up to 2011's +, which features the hit singles "Lego House" and "The A Team." It peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart and rose to the summit in the U.K.

"It's the work I'm most proud of," Sheeran recently shared with the Evening Standard. "I've cherry-picked the best song and worked with the best producers."

On his first record, he admits that "my first album was a bit rushed because I'd just been signed and wanted to put something out before I was shelved."
