Beyonce gets down with her bad self in a brand new Toyota car commercial. As part of their ongoing "Get Going" campaign, in an effort to bring in a younger buying audience, the powerhouse diva rocks a red bustier as she performs onstage during one of her blockbuster arena-sized concerts.

"I had a choice," she says, as footage of her child-like self plays on the screen, "to stand still or move forward--to let things happen or to make things happen."

Elsewhere in the 30-second clip, Bey is seen dreaming of her future as a wide-eyed ballerina. She later pens the lyrics to Destiny's Child's smash hit "Survivor" in the studio. Talk about nostalgia! Next, fans get a peek at the singer in the studio recording "XO," the theme song for the commercial, and a track off her self-titled album.

She then adds, "Everyday I wake up, I make a choice: not to let the world decide for me. I'll decide for me." And boom! She tosses her hair back, as sparklers rain down on her.

Well, she certainly knows what she's talking about. Last December, Queen Bey dropped her self-titled album without a peep. No one knew it was coming, and she has since taken the charts by furious storm. In its first week of release, the record shifted 617,000 copies, bowing at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart. Within a few weeks, the album had already moved well-over one million units, earning platinum status.

As of January 2014, the record was the fastest-selling album for a female since Taylor Swift's blockbuster Red from fall 2012.

Following the album's release, Beyonce spoke about the project in a behind-the-scenes featurette, revealing that she had recorded a whopping 80 songs. "When I started picking the songs that I gravitated towards – because I recorded about 80 songs – it was the songs that were more effortless for me that stuck around."

In a statement about her compelling visual album, she said: “I see music. It’s more than just what I hear. When I’m connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they’re all connected to the music.”

“I didn’t want to release my music the way I’ve done it,” she explained of her surprise release. “I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There’s so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn’t want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it’s ready and from me to my fans.”
